Sunday Summary 02-Oct-2022
I found this week really tough. Espeically through the first few days. The Brunt Bridge took more from me than I was expecting. Reflecting on the race I feel I should have taken in more food. In addition to being a hard race I believe I had a slower recovery due to being too far down the calorie balance.
It wasn’t until Thursday that I started to feel like myself again. It was just the race, work has been very busy and highly stresful. Sitting in front of the computer for extra long work days doesn’t do the body any favours.
With the longer work hours I ended up tossing a few of the mobility sessions this week. In the moment it seemed like the right choice - favour sleep. Having skipped a few I am more focused on getting those in this coming week. I notice a difference!
I got back in the pool for the first time in a VERY long time. I was happy with how my swim went. It wasn’t pretty I am sure. I have a pretty good engine but zero transmission. Regular time in the water will fix that.
Things rouned out through the weekend. And after all was said and done the total volume for the week is right where it should be.
