This was an incredibly busy week at the office. It built from last week. My team is approaching a big release and all of us are really having to put in extra time right now to finalizing all the moving parts. The team has been super, truly awesome, putting things together. I certainly could not ask for a better group.

The increased workload at the office brought my training down some again. Different mix this week as compared to last. With the Triple Shot Cross Fondo coming next week I worked to make sure the time I had to train was spent on the bike.

I kept the workload pretty light this week in terms in of intensity. Mostly aerobic work along some rolling routes. While I didn’t try to hit the uphills very hard they did provide a nice little bump on the intensity front without having to think about it.

I started some physio work this week. I have been having some trouble with my lower back and left glute. I had a good session and am working with a therapist to build a plan. I was really impressed with the clinic and am really encouraged. The discomfort in my low back/glute really isn’t bad, I just want to get it addressed before that happens.

Lastly, but the best part of the week was on Wednesday. It was elementry school cross country running champs for our district. It was so great to see my son standing on the start line. He raced really well and I am super proud of him.
