The stress level at the office really ramped up this week. Frankly, it was pretty terrible. It certainly seems like when I am away from the office (I took the Friday/Monday off around the weekend) that things go sideways. I know that is just my ego talking but the last two times I have taken a few days off I have returned to somewhat grim circumstances. Needless to say, it hasn’t been a good training week.

I found myself with little motivation to get moving. My morning markers were all way way up - the background stress of work was really just high. No more room for added athletic stress.

The weekend did bring back some normality. Saturday was a lovely outdoor ride on the gravel bike. The sun was even out for the first quarter!

Nothing to do but look forwards and get back into a rhythm.
