From a training point of view this week was a loss.

I opened the week with a strong run first thing monday morning. Then work went nuts. Like really nuts. This was on top of sorting out planning and coverage for my coming vacation. Add to this I have my entire family flying in next week to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary so there is a lot of Ts to cross and Is to dot that are adding to the overall stress level.

Given the high stress load I scaled my training back to zero following Monday - I can only handle so much load. With 3+ weeks in the alpine coming I am not worried. I am planning on skiing every day through that time. Lots of aerobic work on the XC skis and rounded out with downhill skiing will provide big days from a duration point of view. Can’t wait!
