Starting to get back to training. I have gotten spotty work in here and there since the Triple Shot. I have always struggled with the late fall: as the days shorten so does my motivation.

This week was full of false starts. The sun was out most days which was really a treat. While there isn’t that much total day light bright sun makes a huge difference. Early in the week thigns rolled and the tail end of the week as OK as well. I had a late week work surge as well as a number of chores to see to on the weekend so I lacked the energy and time to get some miles in on my bike.

I did run pretty regularly this week and I am happy about that. I am really trying to establish my zone 2 running. It is hard going right now - I had been running too hard through the summer and am focused on rebuilding base running capacity. So I have to run real slow right now. Real slow.

Keeping a watch on the snow to the north. Really looking forward to the start of ski season. My mountain is currently scheduled to open on the 8th of December. Can’t hardly wait.
