3x Mountain Bike 2x Downhill Bike 2x Gravel Ride

A shorter week with seven sessions — down from nine last week. The first half stayed on Comox Valley trails with three mountain bike rides and two downhill sessions, then the weekend shifted to gravel in Langford, totalling 134 km and 3,176 m of climbing.

Monday opened with a mountain bike ride through the trails, 17 km and 305 m of gain at 132 bpm average. Tuesday doubled up: a morning mountain bike session (20 km, 187 m, 138 bpm) followed by an afternoon downhill run covering 15 km with 970 m of descending — a low heart-rate day at 88 bpm average, gravity doing the work. Thursday was the biggest climb of the week: 18 km with 1,131 m of elevation change, a solid downhill session at 104 bpm. The weekend moved to Langford for two gravel rides — 37 km on Saturday and 28 km on Sunday, both at a moderate 132–139 bpm, banking consistent time in the saddle to close the week.

Volume dropped from last week’s nine-session block. Distance fell 10% and elevation gain 26%, reflecting a lighter load after the Comox Valley trail intensity. The two gravel rides bookended a shift back to road-style riding after a full week of mountain bike and downhill focus.
